On the 14th August 2004, Chris passed out from the 35th recruits course and became a full time firefighter at Bohemia Road in Hastings, where he served for 16 years on White Watch.

Chris had always dreamed of becoming a fire fighter and this was his passion in life. He loved what he did and was an incredibly brave, loyal and an extremely hard working man. Along side his full time position at Hastings, Chris was also a retained fire fighter at Battle and served from 2004- 2016.
